About the Author:
Chris Rock grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and has been performing stand-up comedy for more than twelve years. Rock made his film debut in Beverly Hills Cops II went on to star in CB4, New Jack City, and Boomerang, among others and spent three years on Saturday Night Live. Nowadays, Rock can be seen in commercials, but he broke new ground with his coverage of the 1996 presidential campaign for Politically Incorrect and with his award-winning HBO specials, Chris Rock: Big-Ass Jokes and Bring the Pain, which led to his current late-night HBO show, "The Chris Rock Show". His latest comedy album, Roll with the New, was released in 1997, and Rock continues to perform concerts each year to sold-out crowds throughout the country. He still lives in Brooklyn, New York.
